Packing, locking it and loading it for next week’s escapade!
Yesterday… on a starry night, i was about to get to Old Town to have some coffee with some of my ol’ pals. As i drove my dad’s car out of my house and reached the junction, i saw that the traffic light timer was 55 seconds… such a long waiting time. And at the bottom, is the radio which is barely lighted, it was airing the radio station that i didn’t like. So i decided to tune it to Fly.FM, 87.5… but i just can’t find the tuning button, hit this and the volume goes up, hit that and the bass starts popping, and so on.
I became so obsessed with the radio, and till i realized when i looked up front, everything was empty, no cars ahead and beside… with the traffic light being green leaving only 3 seconds left before it turned red. I was freaked out, and i looked at the rear mirror…. “Whoah, all the cars queuing up behind me….”
To concile my embarassment of the radio obsession, i turned left instead of going straight….
Why the drivers at the back didn’t pump up his honk? Were they sweet people? Or they thought i was having problem with my car because all the while i was only looking down…
Now that’s the story of my radio obsession….
KUALA TERENGGANU : Malaysia is set to take the world at storm by having one of its landmark deem fit to be listed as one of the latest 2009 Wonders of the World. Standing along side other wonders such as the Great Wall Of China, Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Hanging Garden of Babylon, the Colossus, and etc, the Terengganu Stadium has been considered as a potential candidate for the upcoming 2009 Wonders of the World Selection. The Wonder Maker Association categorized the stadium as unique due to its collapse. “The stadium is firm with its great architecture and quality materials, there is no reason to collapse, but it did… in a unique way.. and its shape is now rather ornate..”, says the Wonder Association Vice President. “It resembles the Colleseum, Rome in some way, just that the Colloseum took thousand of years to be at that state, will this stadium, in months,” he added. The stadium has recently became a tourist attraction whereby local and foreign tourist put the Terengganu Stadium a must visit this holiday.
Is the time now?
Microsoft has been criticized for everything they have done… and is the time now for them to strike back?
- Project Natal – Full Body Motion Sensing Gaming Console
- Bing – A search engine as efficient as Google, try it… you will be surprised, compared to its previous Live.com
- Windows 7 – Leo Laporte mentioned that it is the best Windows Operating System Microsoft has ever created.. and it runs completely well on a low-end net book.
- Zune – it has learned and it is continuing to improve..
and all these projects are a threat to the giants, Google, Apple, Sony, Nintendo…
who shall prevail? This is gettin’ interesting!
Watched Terminator 4 at Big Cinema, Teruntum…. yeah after finding out that Berjaya Megamall was blackout since yesterday 2pm
T1
Skynet sent Terminator to terminate John Conner’s mum, Sarah Conner
John Conner sent Kyle Resse to protect his mother
Kyle Resse fathered John Conner
T2
Skynet sent T-1000 to terminate John Conner the kid
John Conner sent a Terminator to protect his kid-self
T3
Skynet sent T-X to terminator John Conner the teenager
John Conner sent a Terminator again to protect his teenage-self
T4
John Conner becomes leader, meets his father, Kyle Reese the kid
and the war goes on…
I was having a big expectation on Terminator 4, the beginning of the war between men and machines in tune with the ending poetry by John Conner in Terminator 3…. we are gonna fight the machines…
Overall, the story carrier was a lil bit dull with very little action scenes which gets resolved quickly except the last part. I also find the mototerminator VS Reese, Star, and Marcus in the truck scene more like a respond scene against Transformers.
After all, the Terminator Franchise is already in a mess.
First, John Conner exists only if Resse is sent back in time… but John Conner sent Resse with the fact that he already existed.. Furthermore, in Terminator 3, T-X is a highly modern full fledge killing machine, if the war would to last in line with that kinda progression of technology, the Resistance is already as good as toast. And John Conner will have to send Resse back to the past to protect his kid-self, and that moment of time will have to continue to do likewise, reiterating the event and war between men and machine infinitely in an infinite universe.
T4 a 2/5, Star Trek would be a better and pleasurable sci-fi alternative~

How Has Malaysian Education System Affected Me
Published July 16, 2008 Thoughts 1 CommentTags: Education, Thoughts
I have been under the nurture, under the umbrella of the Malaysian Education System for a total of 11 years. There are lots of views and controversies regarding the Malaysian Education System. Change of syllabus, format, grading, science in English, etc… Heck those stuffs first. Crucially, how has it shaped me today?
Outcomes :-
1) I’ve become more attracted to 1 objective answer, though it can be explained in 3-4 ways in several perspectives.
WHY : The Malaysian Examination has an answer scheme, and since teachers were instructed to follow the scheme close to 90%, if you don’t write similar to what it is said on the scheme, then off you go!
2) Now i am in college, and i can’t apply what i have learnt before.
WHY : It is very exam orientated. We can even predict the types of question coming out for the exam. So what? I focused only on those types of question, solving it without understanding why and how to apply it other place.
3) It was too late when i realized the importance of English
WHY : The Malaysia English subject is dead simple. My seniors used to brag about the toughness of the so called 1119 English. What’s so scary? It’s just a course code! What is so unique about 1119? Well they only marked your essay in a much more focused and special style, and your mark is released. I did heard some old teachers mentioned that 1119 used to be something that students will have to do aural and stuff. And now my college lecturers proudly proclaim that the High school public examination of English is a complete joke!
4) No realization of potential and interest
WHY : The only reason why i enrolled into pure science when i was form 1 ( the beginning of high school ) was only because everybody said that more universities would accept you. Apart from that, people tend to treat science student as a more prominent one. Well as i enrolled as one, the electives are Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. I would not say that i hate those sciences, but i just can’t see my potential or interest coming. Okay, the Malaysian Education does offer several core subjects like the Malay Language, English, Moral, History, Modern Mathematics, and English for Science and Technology, but it isn’t general enough to lead someone to their interest. I mean how can a 12 year old boy decides what he really loves/likes/wants? The core should touch on the general topic of most other subject out there to give a taste to a student, thus stimulating their interest if it hits right on the money, and not just emphasizing on these few.
5) Grades really matter!
WHY : Till today, i am still concerned bout my university grade as it is the root towards the final CGPA and also for other university application. The only problem with Malaysian Education grade is … though i know i am not good in a particular subject, i can get an A and sometimes even when i am confident with it, i can get a lower than A. I guess its because of the Binomial Distribution Theorem which the Examination Syndicate embraces. I am interested in computers, but i didn’t want to take the Information Technology paper for my SPM (High school certificate examination) because i know only a handful of students actually take that subject. As a result of that, it is harder to score an A which will in the end affect my scholarship application. Like i said earlier, grades really matter, without good grades, you end up no where, not even in public universities because the emphasis on grade is sky high!
